ALAN ROSEBERRY Obituary

Alan Keith Roseberry, of Mora, formerly of Mankato, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his home on Ann Lake.  He was 70 years old.

Alan was born on July 21, 1954, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to parents Byron " Jerry" and Evelyn (Howard) Roseberry. He grew up in Renwick, Iowa before the family moved to Le Roy, Minnesota, where he graduated from High School in 1972.  Alan went on to Mankato State University where he received a degree in Nursing.  During this time, he met Phyllis Mueller, and the couple was later united in marriage on June 7, 1980, at the Campus Lutheran Church in Mankato.   After college, Alan served in the Army nurses corp. in North Carolina for three years.  When he returned to Minnesota, he continued his education at Mankato State receiving a master’s degree in counseling.

Alan spent the majority of his career working for Blue Earth County Health and Human services as a senior social worker. After retiring in 2016, He and Phyllis moved to their home on Ann Lake near Mora.

A member of the Hilltop United Methodist in Mankato and Mora United Methodist churches, Alan served on several committees including finance and SPRC.  He was active in Alano, most recently the groups in Mora and Milaca.  Alan volunteered with St.  Croix Hospice, served on the Advisory Committee for the Central Minnesota Council of Aging, the Ann Lake Association, and Kanabec County DFL.  Alan enjoyed physical fitness, traveling to Tanzania, Israel, Mexico and on several cruises, and spending time with family and friends.  He was an avid reader, often reading 2-3 books a week.  His favorite spot to find peace and reflection was sitting on his deck, watching the sunrise over Ann Lake.  He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Kathy, and sister-in-law Mary Kehn.

Alan is survived by his wife Phyllis; brother Gary (Clare) Roseberry; nephews, Jesse Roseberry and Jarett Roseberry (Whitney); aunts Arlene (Cliff) Bonner and Suzy (Kenny) Douma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosanna Harris, Peggy (Dan) Mack, Debra (Barry) Hoffman, Philip (Mary Lou) Mueller, and Donna (Paul) Wagenius; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
