ARDIS HALLSTROM

Ardis Elaine Hallstrom, of Brook Park, Minnesota  entered her Eternal Home on Sunday, February 5, 2023.  She was 95 years old.

Ardis was born on November 18, 1927 in Braham, Minnesota to parents Clifford and Vivian (Erickson) Dahlman.

She grew up in the Grandy-Stanchfield area, graduated from Braham High School and enrolled in Mounds Midway School of Nursing in 1945 under “The Army Cadet Nurse Corps” program during WWII, receiving her R.N. degree in the Spring of 1948.

As a young R.N. Ardis met the love of her life, Gordon Hallstrom. They were married September 3, 1949, lived in Minneapolis until 1953 and then moved to property in rural Brook Park which was home to their four children and 73-½ years of marriage.

Ardis is remembered for her beautiful smile, kindness, Swedish Meatballs, happy servant heart, Ginger Cookies, deep love of family and committed faith and trust in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Saviour.

Ardis is preceded in death by her parents and most recently by sister Joyce Dahlman in 2022.

She is survived by her husband Gordon; children, Dan (Sheri), David (Bonnie), Kristie, and Keri (Joel) Johnson; grandchildren, Brigitta (Zack) Bobick, Mikael (Jessica), Erin (Michael) Krueger, Erik (Kelli), Esten (Caitlin) Johnson, Lauren (Jon) Gates, Kate Johnson, and Blake Johnson; 13 great grandchildren; sister Lucille Hanson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Elaine) Hallstrom, and Bernice Brooks; many nieces and nephews; special friend/”adopted” daughter Linda Ferrari; family relative and helper Val Paulson; numerous dear relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Quamba Baptist Church. 

A Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. 

A Private Family Inurnment will be held in the Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
