Barbara Ann Wazelle, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Eastwood Senior Living in Mora. She was 84 years old.
Barbara was born on April 8, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Francis and Mildred (Thour) Miller.
She grew up in Robbinsdale and attended Robbinsdale High School. Growing up, Barb was an avid speed skater, and water skier. Barb also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and loved to fish (caught many a lunker's). Her true passion, quilting, came alive when she landed in Mora. Barb was a very creative crafter and loved entering her things in Minnesota State Fair where she received several Blue Ribbons. Barb also volunteered at St Clare’s and the Kanabec History Center. She loved Mora and made many special friendships, especially her Quilting Club and the Coffee Gals! She will be missed by all!
Barb’s family would like to give a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Mora Care Community - St Clare's Living Community and Eastwood Senior Living.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, son Terry Potter, and husband Jules Wazelle.
She is survived by her children, Julie Dearing, Mitchell (Sherri) Potter, Steven (Tami) Potter, and Scott (Dee Dee) Potter; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Judy Immig of Clearwater, FL; many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Barb's life will be held from 12:00 noon-3:00 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her son Scott’s home (41230 Jamestown St NE- Braham, MN 55006).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a worthy charity of your choice - or 'pay it forward' in Barb's Honor.
