Obituary

Beverly Margaret Paulson, of Braham, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora.  She was 87 years old.

Beverly was born on May 14, 1935 in Grandy, MN to parents Andrew and Mary (Erickson) Leaf. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She remained a lifelong member of the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended grade school in Grandy, MN and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1953.

She met Glen at the Isanti County fair in 1953. They married in December of 1954 at Rush Point Lutheran Church. They made their home in Grandy, MN, St. Augustine, FL, Burley, ID and settled in Braham, MN. They were blessed with six children. She was raised in a family of twelve and cherished spending time with her siblings throughout her life. She loved attending her sister getaways. Her love for her family was the core of who she was.

She went to work for Dahlman Manufacturing after the last of her six children entered kindergarten. It was later known as Premier Products, where she retired. She passionately cared for many elderly in their homes after retirement. Beverly knew the importance of giving and was a lifelong volunteer devoting many hours in the community including Braham Garden Club, Tusen Tack, Braham Lutheran Church, and VFW.

Her hobbies included bowling, baking, attending grandchildren’s events, cheering on the Twins, and raising beautiful flowers and vegetables. She spent many summers preserving food and was known for her prize pickles. Beverly dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother. She listened without judgement. She gave without expectation. She helped out because it was the right thing to do. She was honest because there was no other way. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, and ten siblings.

Bev is survived by her son Greg (Nellie) Paulson; daughters, Mary Paulson, Charlotte (Randy) Husom, Charrie (Randy) VanVleet, Kris (Jon) Stull, and Tammy (Randy) Auger; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; sister Lila Hasser; and many other relatives and friends.
