Billie Jean (Pickles) Nielsen, of Bock, formerly of Ogilvie, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Cambridge Medical Center. She was 76 years old.
Jeannie was born in Herrin, IL on September 28, 1949 to Bill and Minnie Pickles. While she was attending Larkin High School and Grace Evangelical Church, she met Dana. They were married on August 3, 1968. They had three children Cory, Cara, and Joshua. She was a devoted wife and mother, and will be dearly missed.
Billie Jean is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Minnie (Garner) Pickles and brother Steve Pickles
She is survived by her husband Dana; children, Cory (Kim) Nielsen, Cara (Howard) Gillette, and Josh Nielsen; granddaughters, Samantha (Gabe) Hendrickson, Sara Gillette, and Lea (Matt) Felde; great grandchildren, Eve, Bjorn, and Ryder; siblings, Jackie Botteron, Mike (Jean) Pickles, and Cary Pickles; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne (John) Uhler, Alicia Helms, Les (Sue) Nielsen, and Natalie (Mike) Dzinglewksi; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Lewis Lake Covenant Church in Ogilvie.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Lewis Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Luncheon will follow the service.
