BOB CISZEWSKI

Robert “Motorcycle Bob” Carl Ciszewski Sr, of Mora, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Texas. He was 75 years.

Robert was born on June 19, 1948, to Harry and Anna (Zimmerman) Ciszewski in Saginaw, Michigan. After graduation from Saginaw High School, he went into the US Army 4th infantry and served in Pleiku, Vietnam from August 1968 to July 1969.  He continued to serve in the Army Reserve for 27 years and earned the rank of Sergeant First Class upon his military retirement.

Bob married Janice Lalonde on August 16, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan.  Bob spent most of his career working for the City of Saint Paul, before retiring after 18 years. “Motorcycle Bob” as he was known, kept busy in retirement helping veterans, volunteering with the Braham VFW Post 1731, and making the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Braham a reality.  In his final years, Bob enjoyed traveling and spending time with his special friend, Helen. He was a great man that will be deeply missed.

Bob is preceded in death by parents and wife Janice.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Jr “Bob” (Jennifer) and Anthony “Tony” (Shannon); grandchildren, Logan Ciszewski, Shaylin (Chris) Prestidge, Jessica Ehrler, and Quinn Ciszewski; great grandchildren, Ivy, Caleb, Haley and Elaina; sisters, Mary Duffet, Karen Graham, Barb Ciszewski; brothers, Joe and John Ciszewski; many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery - Assembly Area # 2 in Minneapolis.  

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Braham Event Center.
