Clinton Allen Bengtson, age 49, passed away suddenly on February 6, 2024 at his home in Champlin, MN.
He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Clinton was born on August 8, 1974, in Fridley, MN. He lived in Coon Rapids, MN during his formative years. Then he and his family moved to a farm in Braham, MN in 1981. He graduated in 1992 from Westview High School in Braham. After which he spent some time in the Army Reserves. Clint went on to attend college at the University of Minnesota (Duluth) and then the University of St. Thomas where he earned a Master’s degree in accounting. He also earned his CPA.
Clint worked for years in finance at various banks and more recently for BI Worldwide in Edina, MN as a Senior Data Analyst. While his professional career was impressive, more than anything, Clinton was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his son, Jack, (who he shared with his former spouse Bridget Elliott) swimming, playing games, going to Twins games, visiting his parents’ farm, going to the RV in Deer River, and traveling the world.
Clinton is survived by his son Jack; his parents Wallace and June Bengtson; siblings, Julie (Teruyuki) Tanaka, Stefanie Bengtson, and Brandon (Jamie) Bengtson; nieces and nephews, Lily, Aiden, Taylor and Ethan; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
