Daniel Dean Fussy, of Mora, passed on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his home. He was 66 years old.
Daniel was born on August 30, 1959, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to parents Lawrence and Irene (Haffner) Fussy. He grew up in Crystal, graduating from Cooper High School in 1978.
Daniel was united in marriage in 1983 to Deb Belland in Minneapolis and were blessed with two daughters. In 1997, the family moved to Monticello where Daniel was active at the Resurrection Lutheran Church.
Daniel spent his career as a bus driver for the City of Minneapolis before retiring in 2002.
In 2016, Daniel and Deb separated and he later moved to his home on Knife Lake near Mora. He enjoyed working on cars and was lovingly restoring a 1949 International truck. He loved putting together model cars, watching the Vikings, and hunting. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and the time spent with them.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Larry and Randy Fussy, granddaughter Abigale and by his beloved companion, Annie.
He is survived by his daughters, Jenny (Zach) Pierson and Dani Bott (Tommy); grandchildren, Libby, Allie, EJ, Emmett, Leah, Justen and Quinn; former spouse Deb Fussy; siblings, Rick Fussy and Tim Fussy; niece Jamie (Rick) Cary; other relatives and friends.
A private family burial was in the Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope.
A celebration of life is being planned for a future date.
