DANNY TRAMM Obituary

Danny Leroy Tramm of Isle and Mora passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his home. He was 63 years old.

Danny was born on July 27, 1960, in Mora, Minnesota to parents Gerald and Janice (Zortman) Tramm. He was confirmed in 1974 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Isle. As a child, he attended the Wahkon school house and later Isle High School, graduating in 1978.

Danny and Katherine met as young adults and united in marriage in 1977. They were blessed with 4 children, Dannille, Natalie, Garrett and Gabriel, sixteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

In 1989, Danny and Katherine founded Northland Process Piping in Isle which later expanded to California, Colorado, Mora, New Mexico, New York, Texas and other satellite locations. Danny was very talented with the design aspect of equipment, piping and layout for food and dairy plants. His memory was astounding. Danny appreciated his customers and employees.

In 2008, Boone’s Fine Guns was opened.  Danny “Boone” had a love for Winchester guns, memorabilia and all things collecting. He met and made many friends in this business and enjoyed the search for a unique piece.

Danny’s passion was spending time with his family, he arranged a lot of family gatherings and loved to cook.
He enjoyed engaging with customers at NPP & Boone’s Fine Guns and running the businesses with his kids. He loved farming with help from his dad, uncle, sons, and grandsons. He looked forward to bird and white tail deer hunting and riding 4-wheeler. Danny and Kathy enjoyed traveling to Vegas, Alaska, or wherever the itinerary led them.

Danny was quick-witted and loved telling jokes and his laughter could be recognized within a crowd.

Danny was a generous donor to his many causes. He had a big heart and gave advice to many. He had a way of looking at things that made everything seem better. To put into words, Danny’s accomplishments and graciousness were tasks of great magnitude.

Danny was preceded in death by his father-in-law Donald Determan, brothers-in-law, Douglas Determan and Mark Olson.

He is survived by his wife Katherine; children, Dannille (Ryan) Schik, Natalie (Andrew) Geist, Garrett (Lindsy) Tramm, and Gabriel (Emily) Tramm; grandchildren, Grandt, Mackenzie (Dylan), Koral, Tommy (Sophia), Na-Kee, Rowan, Bailey, Xavier, Kaylee, Logan, Callen, Max, Rydan, Chloe, Lucia, and Mable; great grandchildren, Ayla, Bentley, and one on the way- Lillie; mother Janice (Arnie) Erbstoesser; father Gerald (Janice) Tramm; sisters, Loni Olson and Kristi (Bret) Hanson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
