DAVID T BOS

David “Dave” Theodore Bos, of Ogilvie, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.  He was 73 years old.

David was born on September 27, 1948 in Mora, Minnesota to parents Gerrit and Johanna (Pedersen) Bos.  He grew up on the family farm, the thirteenth of fourteen siblings.  He attended and graduated from Ogilvie High School.  On September 30, 1967, He was united in marriage to Diann Knutson. They had three sons.  

Dave and Diann lived most of their lives in Ogilvie.  Dave enjoyed careers as a farmer and as an auto body repair technician.  He put God first but loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Dave was always on the go, ready and willing to help family, friends, and even strangers in need.  Upon retirement, he always looked forward to going south for the winter where he kept busy helping others and talking to anyone he met.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

He is survived by his wife Diann; children, David Jr. (Jen), Josh, and Dan (Holly); grandchildren, Jordan, Hannah, Hailyn, Ashlynn, and David III; 3 brothers and 2 sisters; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

As a God-fearing man, Dave requested a simple and private graveside service for his immediate family at the Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.  In his own words, that also bring peace to his family, “I am almost perfect…and now I am”.
