Diane Kay Soderquist, of Mora, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Estates of Rush City. She was 82 years old.
Diane was born on June 20, 1942, in Fairmont, Minnesota to parents Maurice and Mildred (McDeid) Sickler. She was united in marriage to Reynold Harold Soderquist on June 1, 1963, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. They were blessed with 2 sons, Jimmy and Harold. The family lived in Brooklyn Park until 1967 when they moved to Edgewood, just south of Cambridge. They later moved to rural Mora, where Diane spent her final years.
Diane loved tending to her flowers and digging in her gardens. A wonderful baker, she made the best homemade bread. Diane adored animals, watching and feeding the birds and especially all the cats they have had over the years. Diane will be dearly missed.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reynold, son Jimmy, and brother Wally Sickler.
She is survived by her son Harold, brothers, Gary (Marlys) Sickler and John (Helen) Sickler; special friend Lois Hesselroth; as well as several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a future date.
