DONALD FUCHS Obituary

Donald “Don” J. Fuchs, of North Branch, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Cambridge Medical Center.  He was 78 years old.

Don was born on May 4, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Alphonse and Catherine Fuchs.  He grew up in St. Paul, attending St. Matthew’s Catholic School and Humboldt High School, graduating in 1964. 

Don spent most of his career as a truck driver for Sysco Foods but later drove bus for the Cambridge Isanti schools.

Don enjoyed the outdoors, especially living on the lake and deer hunting.  He will be remembered for his friendly and quirky personality.  He will be missed.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Emily, and son Scottie.

He is survived by his children, Michael Sofie, Tom (Joan) Fuchs, Angel Fuchs (Marc Veillet), Katie (Kris) Olsen, and Dani (Mike) Earl; grandchildren, Holly, Christopher, Elizabeth, Alex, Sara, Dani, Taylor, Hadley, Lainey, Owen, Charlotte, and Ben; several great grandchildren; brother Bob (Maryann) Fox; sister Doris Frank; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Hamilton Funeral Homes – Rock Chapel in Braham

Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. 

Inurnment will be in the Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery.
