DOUGLAS TOKLE

Douglas "Doug" Tokle, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home.  He was 69 years old.

Doug was born on March 20, 1953 in Mora, Minnesota to parents Roy and Joan (Custer) Tokle.  He attended Aitkin High School, graduating in 1971.  After high school he attended the Minnesota School of Business where he trained as a Culinary Chef.  He worked as a head chef for various restaurants for the next ten years.  He owned and operated The Dug Out bar and grill in Bethel for a number of years.   In 2015, Doug was reunited with his high school sweetheart Patti and together they made a beautiful life together.

Doug’s hobbies included leatherworking, making checkbook covers, belts, and other gift for friends and relatives, target shooting with his friends, and riding his 4wheeler and side by side.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Joan (Custer) Tokle.

He is survived by the love of his life, Patti; special aunt Jean Soto; lifelong friends Dean and Candy Kitterman; as well as several other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes- Akkerman Chapel in Mora.  Rev. Gus Schill will officiate.

Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
