DUANE HANSEN

Duane Ellsworth Hansen, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home. He was 86 years old.

Duane was born on January 14, 1937 in East Park Township, Minnesota to parents Lloyd and Clara (Bunken) Hansen.

Duane was married to his amazing wife Barb for 37 years and they have lived in Mora for 24 years. Duane enjoyed company and going out with friends, spending time with his family and grandchildren and working on cars. Duane's generosity and infectious personality made him a very special person to all who knew him. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth, daughter Marie Moen, and sister Layla Vacura.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; son-in-law Brad Moen, grandchildren, Chad, and Haley (Zach) Bellcour, great grandchildren Zelda, Aubree and Easton; Barbara’s Family- children, Hollie Ovsak, Michael (Keri) Ovsak, Shelly (Lenny) Wolfe, Bruce (Karla) Ovsak, and Daniel (Linda) Ovsak; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Dave Hansen and Larry (Debbie) Hansen; sister-in-law Ardelle Telander; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Mora. 

Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. 

Inurnment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
