Emily Grace Fredrick, of Mora, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at her home. She was 42 years old.
Emily Grace Fredrick was born on October 27, 1981, in Seoul, South Korea. She came to Minnesota on April 30, 1982, and was adopted by her parents, Bryan and Patricia Fredrick of Ogilvie. As a child, she spent much time with her grandparents, Martin (Bud) and Esther Sando. She loved going out to the barn and playing with the dogs and cats. She also enjoyed visiting her paternal grandparents, Russell and Isla Fredrick of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Growing up she enjoyed dance lessons and participated in 4-H. In 4-H she entered many projects in the Kanabec County fair and won state fair trips.
She attended Ogilvie School and graduated in 2000. She participated in choir and took trips with the choir to Florida and St. Louis, Mo. After graduation, she attended St. Cloud Technical College and earned an associate degree in advertising. She worked at several places in St. Cloud for several years.
Most of her work career she worked for Catholic Charities Senior Dining at the Mora, MN kitchen. She cooked and delivered meals to the satellite locations in Ogilvie, Isle, Wahkon and Onamia. She left the Senior Dining program in 2021 and did various delivery services in the Mora area. In 2024, she began working for Pizza Hut.
She loved her dog, Otis, and her cat, Milo, and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Russell Fredrick, grandparents, Martin and Esther Sando and Russell and Isla Fredrick and her uncle Ken Sando of Coralville, IA.
She is survived by her parents, Bryan and Patricia Fredrick; uncle Glen (Catherine) Sando of Minneapolis, aunt Gloria Sando of Coralville, IA, aunt Lynn Hickman of Pinole, CA; cousins, Lynn Sando, Sharon Goettl and Kit Lanthier; and special friend, Austin Statz, of Arena, WI; as well as many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Ogilvie United Methodist Church with Pastor Dean Roush officiating.
Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Inurnment will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.
A meal will follow the service at the church.
