HAROLD DAWSON Obituary

Harold LeRoy Dawson, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Michigan Veteran's Home at Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He was 75 years old.

Harold was born on May 30, 1949 in Stillwater, Minnesota to parents Theodore Franklin and Dorothy Eleanor (Reyer) Dawson.

After graduating high school at Park Senior High, He enlisted in the United States Army on June 5, 1969.  He served overseas during Vietnam and was discharged on April 28, 1971 with numerous accolades for his service.

He was united in marriage to Kathlene and they were blessed with 4 children, Kimberly, Timothy, James, and Tammy Kay. They later separated.

Harold spent his career working as tow truck driver, and owner and operator of Dawson's Trucking as an over the road truck driver.  He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Wayne Dawson.

Harold is survived by his children, Kimberly (Lee) Mateer, Timothy Dawson, James (Amanda) Dawson, and Tammy Kay Dawson; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister Diane; brother Roger; several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes - Rock Chapel in Braham. 

A Prayer Service will be held at 3:30 pm with Pastor Jake King officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, March 3, 2025 - Assembly Area 4 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
