JAYDAN PAUTZKE

December 18, 2002 ~ September 1, 2023 (age 20) 20 Years Old

Obituary

Jaydan Kathryn Pautzke, of Mora, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023.  She was 20 years old.

Jaydan was born on December 18, 2002, in Mora, Minnesota to parents Jayson and Michelle (Klepsa) Pautzke.  She grew up in Mora, attending Mora schools where she still holds the current Shot-put record for Jr High Girls.  She played French horn in the band, took part in the school play, was on the basketball and track team, and was the manager of the boy’s baseball team.  She graduated from Mora High School in 2021.

After high school, Jaydan received her PARA certification which she used working with special needs children at the Ogilvie Elementary school for the past 2 years.  Her kindness and compassion made her a favorite with many of the students, especially her little buddy River.  She had just been accepted into the teaching program with WGU to further her path in education.

Jaydan loved music, especially Taylor Swift, and would sing as loud as she could in her car (Ally the Acura), at Karaoke, or in church as a child.  She knew all the words and songs to her two favorite movies, The Lorax and Titanic.  She loved to watch her favorite shows Supernatural, Greys Anatomy, and the Walking Dead.

Jaydan was adventurous and spontaneous.  On a whim, she and some friends drove all the way to Nebraska without any plans.  Another time she drove to the Canadian border, just because.  Her favorite trips were driving during the night to reach the black sand beaches near Duluth just to watch the sunrise.

Jaydan had a habit of naming or nicknaming everything in her life from her car, her diet cokes, her many, many stuffed animals, even her beloved pets including her black lab, Duke.   She had a very spiritual soul and enjoyed astrology, collecting crystals, and was learning to interpret Tarot cards.

Most of all, Jaydan loved her family and was so proud to be an aunt to Asher. She will always be remembered for her perfect smile, contagious laugh, and beautiful spirit. She will be missed beyond measure.

Jaydan’s final gift to this world was made as an organ and tissue donor, by both giving life and improving the lives of more than 75 people.

Jaydan is preceded in death by her grandpa Bob Klepsa and grandma Gail Pautzke.

Jaydan is survived by her parents Jayson and Michelle Pautzke; siblings, Kirsten (Aaron) Oslin, Kaylee (Garrett) Prisk, and Alec Pautzke (Kyra Lankford); nephew Asher; grandparents Ed (Becky) Pautzke; aunts and uncles, Joel (Shanyn) Pautzke, Bob (Chris) Klepsa, Steve Klepsa (Ryan Card), Matt (Carmen) Klepsa, Rachel (Jason) Mathison, and Alicia (James) Maxwell; boyfriend Hayden Fredrickson and his family; as well as many other relatives and friends.
