JESSEY WERLEIN

Jessey James Werlein, of Cambridge, passed away on April 29, 2026, unexpectedly following a medical emergency.  He was 42 years old.

Jessey was born on February 23, 1984, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to parents Jessey and Penny (Nitek) Werlein. Jessey liked to remind everyone that he was the eldest child, and big brother to his twin Josh and little brother Shane.

Jessey was a man who lived his life fast and furious.  He was a hard worker, spending many years in the Oil Fields.  He would help anyone in need, even a stranger walking on the side of the road.  His family and friends were his world, and everyone knew if they needed help, Jessey was just a phone call away.  He loved listening to rap music and always had to have the loudest system.

Snowmobiles were his favorite hobby.  A grease monkey with a tool in his hand, he was always fixing sleds or hording parts because one day he might need them. Grilling was his passion in the summer.  He was an animal lover and always made sure to give them love before he left. 

Jessey had a huge heart and cared deeply for others which continued into death when he gave the gift of organ and tissue donation to give others a second chance. A rare and selfless gift.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jessey was preceded in death by his mother Penny Lowery, grandfather Henry Nitek, uncles Rodney and Ronald Nitek; special friends Jason Colins, Aaron Ferngren, and his Montana Best Friend Booger.

He is survived by his children, Connor Werlein and Abryn Cody; fiancé Janelle Grell and her son Brayden Spanier; twin brother Josh (Tiffany) Werlein; brother Shane Werlein; stepfather Shawn Lowery; Connor’s mom Jessica (Mitch) Mosio; many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Jessey’s Life will be held from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Braham Moose Lodge.  Please dress casually and comfy in standard "Jessey Style". 

No flowers or trees please, Memorials are preferred to the family.
