John Benjamin Mohr, of Pine City, MN, formerly of Harris, MN, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Timber Pines Senior Living in Pine City, MN. He was 70 years old.
John was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 24, 1955, to Thomas and Judith (Hall) Mohr. He grew up in Rosemount, MN. He attended Rosemount Methodist Church where he was confirmed. He attended Rosemount High School where he graduated in 1974. He entered into four years active service in the Air Force, and he was honorably discharged.
John rode a bicycle from Rosemount out to the west coast, stopping to visit relatives in Montana. Next, he drove a semi-truck delivering fuel oil for Kath Oil. He also drove truck for the family farm. He worked in the automotive department at Walmart, he worked in a couple of gas stations, and his last job was for North Branch Manufacturing.
John lived on the family farm near Harris, MN, and later he and his mother moved into a house on property he owned next to the family farm. In 2022, John moved into assisted living at Elmhurst Commons in Braham, MN. In 2024, he moved to the memory care unit at Timber Pines in Pine City, MN.
John was interested in golf and bowling. He belonged to a league in each of the two sports.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Charles, his sister-in-law, Sandra, and two nephews, and other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Harris Covenant Church.
Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service starting at 10 AM.
A luncheon will immediately following the service.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Covenant Cemetery in Harris, MN.
