John Arthur Warner, age 80, of Mora, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with his loving wife of nearly 62 years by his side.
Born on July 4, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota, John was raised with strong values of hard work, faith, and family that remained with him throughout his life. In 1964, he married Linda, and together they built a life centered around love, family, faith, and dedication to one another.
Over the years, John built a respected career in heating and air conditioning, working for companies including Union Oil and Kath Bros. In the late 1970s, John also proudly owned and operated a Dairy Queen in St. Paul. During the eight years he and his family resided in Bradenton, Florida, John served as Director of Engineering for Far Horizons Resort and the Hyatt Hotel in Sarasota. After returning to Minnesota in 1988, he worked with Town & Country Oil and later as Director of Engineering for Kanabec Hospital. Following major back surgery, John retired in 2000.
John was known as a hardworking and dependable man who could fix or figure out nearly anything. He took immense pride in his family and treasured the many friendships he built throughout his life. He loved sharing stories of days gone by, following and talking politics, and was happiest spending time with those he loved.
An avid reader, John especially enjoyed westerns and crime novels. He loved camping and classic cars. He also found joy in puzzles, Legos, and listening to classic country music. A man of deep faith, generous spirit, and kind heart, John touched the lives of many through his wisdom, strength, and willingness to help others.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and William Warner; his twin brother, James Warner; brother, Raymond Warner; grandson, Justin Rauen; and son, William Robert Warner.
