Keith Allen Barton, of North Branch, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at M Health Fairview Southdale in Edina. He was 70 years old.
Keith was born in Minneapolis on October 5, 1954, to parents Richard and Colleen Barton. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1972.
He started working at Riteway Precision Machine/Chandler Industries in 1973. He was employed there for 45 years where he was a lead for Grinding Department and a CNC Machinist and Quality Inspector. While employed at Chandler Industries he also worked part time as a bingo caller at Topper Hall in Columbia Heights and a bartender at First and Last Chance. Following Keith’s retirement in 2019, he work for a year at Federated Co-op in Isanti MN.
He was united in marriage on January 13, 2004 to his wife Sharon Knickerbocker Barton. They were married for 21 years. Keith had seven children and two step children, Jason, Charity, Amanda, Jennie, April, Keith, Skylar, Timmy, and Jessie.
Keith’s favorite places included Little Pine RV Park in Emily, MN where he had camped for the passed 30 years, Log Cabin Bar (Emily), Jumping Jacks (Weber), The Fuze (Harris) and a member at the Isanti VFW Post 2735.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, trap shooting, meat raffles, casino trips, long road trips, watching nascar and Vikings football. He enjoyed and loved caring for his pets, and will be missed by his dog Butch and cat Winnie.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Colleen (Hollman) Barton.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; children, Jason Barton, Charity (Skyler) Seek, Amanda Barton, Jennie (Rich) VonderHaar, April (Jason) Crandall, Keith Barton, Skylar (Becky) Barton, Tim (Tessa) Knickerbocker, and Jessie Knickerbocker; siblings, Charles (Darline) Barton, Kenneth Barton, Shirley Barton, and Casey Barton; brothers-in-law, Jim (Debbie) Knickerbocker and Tom (Tina) Knickerbocker; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from Noon to 4:00 pm at Jumpin' Jacks (27796 Jordell St NE; North Branch, MN 55056).
