LANA SALZER

Lana Marie Salzer, of Apple Valley, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at her home.  She was 72 years old.

Lana was born on October 19, 1950 is Ashley, North Dakota to parents Eugene and Barbara (Martz) Salzer.  The eldest of twelve children, Lana grew up in Ashley, graduating from Ashley High School.  She attended a bible college in Canada where she received a degree in Theology.  In 1973, Lana moved to Grafton, North Dakota where she worked as a Secretary for the Assistance Director at the Developmental Center.  In 1993, She moved to Prior Lake where she took on the roll of Office Manager and Bookkeeper for her brother Berney’s company, Salzar Plumbing.  She continued to keep the business organized and running smooth until her unexpected death.

Lana loved to plant and tend to a large vegetable garden. She enjoyed canning and cooking with her bountiful harvest each year.   Lana loved animals and enjoyed helping with cattle and other animals on the family farm.  Lana lived her life with a strong faith and was a member of the Henriette Free Methodist Church for many years.  She will be remembered as a wonderful sister, aunt, and friend.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her siblings, Sandra, Bonnie (John) Davis, Gene, Joel (Pam), Gwendolyn (Andy), Berney (Annmarie), Wade, Neal, Brian (Claudia), Jason, and Jocelyn; aunts, Luella Bloomhart and Gertie (Leroy) Gross; numerous nieces and nephews and their families and friends.
