Mark L. Fladebo, of Hinckley, formerly of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Sandstone Health Care Center after a battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.
Mark Loren Fladebo was born on October 26, 1967 in Milaca, Minnesota to parents Loren and Helen (Swenson) Fladebo. He resided in Isle until the age of 3 when the family moved to Mora. Mark was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He attended Mora High School where he participated in baseball and hockey. After graduation, Mark joined the United States Army and served for 4 years , spending the majority of that time in Korea working as a helicopter mechanic. He was later stationed in Colorado. Upon returning home to Mora, Mark worked with local carpenters building log homes. In his younger years, Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. In the summer of 2023, Mark moved to Hinckley where he purchased a home. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father Loren.
Mark is survived by his mother Helen Fladebo of Mora; wife Laurie Fladebo of Hinckley; brothers, Jeff (Michelle) of Coon Rapids and Jay (Becky) of Livingston, TX; beloved golden retriever Rumpy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the Welia oncology staff and Ecumen Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes-Akkerman Chapel in Mora.
A Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home.
Luncheon will be held at the Mora Masonic Lodge.
Inurnment will be held at at later date in the Sunset Cemetery in Isle.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
