MARVIN TROGSTAD

Marvin Edward Trogstad, formerly of Mora, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Harmony House in Brainerd.  He was 91 years old.

Marvin was born on May 16, 1932 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to parents Orrin J and Myrtle (Larson) Trogstad.  He graduated from Albert Lea High School. 

On October 4, 1958, Marvin was united in marriage to Donna Rae Burns at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.  Marvin worked a wide variety of jobs throughout his life including the Railroad, driving truck, building RV campers, a paper factory, and for more than 20 years working in housekeeping at Grand Casino Hinckley. 

Marvin was a member of the Mora United Methodist Church and the Sons of Norway.  He was an avid reader, loved watching old westerns, and woodworking.  He and Donna enjoyed a memorable trip to Alaska.  Most of all, Marvin loved spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leslie and Roland, sister Maralda Seath, and infant son Bobby.

He is survived by his wife Donna; children, Donald Delle, Linda Storey, Julie Lencowski, Lori Stanley, Jodi Brennan, and Peggy Johnson; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Mora United Methodist Church.

Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Military Honors will be provided by the Mora American Legion Post 201.
