MONA MAGNUSON

Mona Viola Magnuson, of Mora, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 16, 2024.  She was 89 years old.

Mona was born on May 16, 1934 in Trensom, Sweden to parents Ebbe and Vilma (Sand) Sjoberg. 

Mona Sjoberg was united in marriage to Bertil Magnuson, a pastor, and together they served many small and some bigger churches.  God blessed them with four wonderful children: Sam, Noomie, Dave, and Mike.  In December of 1972 the family felt led by the Lord to immigrate to the United States and God opened doors for ministry here in the States.  The children’s singing group was incorporated as “The Happiness Four” in 1975.  After being based in Van, Texas for many years the ministry relocated to Mora, Minnesota where Bertil and Mona spent their final years.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bertil, and sons, Sam and Dave Magnuson; brother Arne (Doris) Sjoberg; sister May (Bertil) Persson.

She is survived by her children, Noomie (Dean) Lindahl and Mike (Lynette) Magnuson; grandchildren, Rachael, Jordan (Bethany), Stefan (Brittany), and Daniel; great grandchildren, Kiara, William, Savannah, Serenity, and Salem; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private Interment was held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
