Nancy Jo Hass of Ogilvie, Minnesota, passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on August 16, 2022. She was 77 years old.
Nancy was born August 31, 1944, in Redwood Falls, MN to Melvin and Beatrice Noack. She grew up in Morgan, Minnesota with her two siblings, Melvin, Jr. (Butch) Noack and Linda (Stassen) Noack. At the age of 22, she was blessed with her sister, Melissa (Martin) Noack. As a young teenager, the family moved to a farm south of Ogilvie where she graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1962. She met the love of her life here, Kenny Hass, and they were married on June 8, 1963, in Bock, Minnesota. To this union, three children were born, Lorri (Hass) Houtsma, Robyn Hass and Corey Hass.
She stayed home to raise her children and then began waitressing first at Double J Café and then at Grandma’s Kitchen until her retirement. She was an avid bowler and bowled in the Mora League, being the Treasurer for the league for many years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoying Sunday dinners at her house.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Beatrice Noack; siblings, Linda, Butch and Missy; grandson, Brandon Houtsma; brother-in-law, Carl Hass; and in-laws, Clarence and Cleo Hass.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ken Hass and her three children, Lorri (Wes) Houtsma, Robyn (Mike) Hass and Corey (Kandace) Hass, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives.
A Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes- Akkerman Chapel in Mora.
A private family graveside service will follow.
