ORIN MOLIN

Orin Hans Molin, of Braham, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his home.  He was 86 years old.

Orin was born on November 12, 1937, at the Braham Hospital to parents George and Helen (Johnsen) Molin.  He grew up in the Brunswick area and attended Mora Schools.

He was united in marriage to Evangeline in 1957 and they were blessed with 3 children.  They later separated and Orin became a single Dad of 3 young children.  He loved and supported his kids in all they did.  

He spent this life working as a mechanic, having a true, natural talent for engines, and being able to fix any vehicle.  Because he could fix anything, his expertise and friendship was highly sought out.  He worked for his family at Molin Bros in Little Canada for a few years but spent most of his career working for himself as a master mechanic.

Orin loved to grow a huge vegetable garden each year so he could freeze and can his bountiful harvests.  When time allowed, Orin enjoyed going fishing for panfish to cook for dinner.  He was a born-again Christian, keeping his faith strong even during ups and downs of life.  Most of all, Orin loved his family.  His close relationships with his sister, sons, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews were so precious to him.  He will be so dearly missed.   

Orin is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Larry and Gordon Molin.

He is survived by his children, Robert, Melanie, and Jeremie; daughter-in-law Alisha Callais; grandchildren, Zachary, Summer, Racheal, Thomas, and Brayden; brother Dennis; sisters, Janice Tijerina and Rosemary Rettig; special cousin Earl; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes - Akkerman Chapel in Mora.  

A Graveside service and Interment will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Brunswick
