PATRICIA TURPIN

Patricia Ann Turpin, 71, died August 28, 2024 under the Care of St. Croix Hospice, twenty months after a stage four cancer diagnosis. Her Celebration Service will be held at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church on September 12, 2024 followed by her internment at Rice Lake Cemetery, both in Braham, MN.

Ms. Turpin was born on the 28th of March, 1953 in Mayesville, South Carolina to parents Charlie Bryant Johnson and Mary Catherine Keys. She lived most of her life in Maryland where she retired as an Office Specialist with Patten Law Firm.  

Known to many as Minister Turpin, she loved ministering the love of Christ to all she met.  She participated in many ministry trips within the United Stated and abroad. She was passionate about advocating for homeless veterans and often prepared and delivered food to those who resided under the bridge in DC.

ARC Retreat Community became home to Patricia Thanksgiving 2021, when she relocated to Stanchfield, MN. She enjoyed her hospitality role making sure all felt welcome. She also loved all things Braham – Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church, Braham Event Center, Park Cafe, Mike’s, and Tusen Tack.

A Celebration of Patricia's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Braham Ev. Lutheran Church.

A time of visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Light refreshment will be served immediately following the service.

Inurnment will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia has requested memorials to the ARC retreat community.
