Philip James Horn, age 80, passed away after complications of a stroke on February 24, 2026, at his home in Isanti, Minnesota.
Philip was born January 20, 1946, in San Diego, CA and grew up in a military family, living in many places in the western US with his parents Welton and Doris (Magure) Horn and brother Thomas. After graduating from high school in Unity, OR he joined the US Navy in July of 1966 and served until his honorable discharge in April of 1970. His service included time on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.
Philip moved to Minnesota in 1970 to be closer to his family and later married Christy Lee Clementson of Pine City on September 10, 1977, and settled in Braham, MN. This was followed by the birth of their two children: Kelsy (Joshua) Ham and Neil (Missy) Horn. In his career, Philip was a proud crane operator for the local 49ers.
He was always available to give a helping hand to all his great family, friends, and neighbors no matter what the task. In his free time, Philip enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, building birdhouses, projects and visiting in his shop. In 2024, Philip and Christy relocated to Isanti, Minnesota. He will be deeply missed.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, brother, children, grandchildren and many other family, relatives, and friends.
In keeping with Phil’s wishes, no services will be held.
