Phillip H. Kitterman, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 (Korean War Veteran) and was honorably discharged in 1958.
After that he worked for International Harvester for over 14 years, then to other occupations which led him to start up his own business in 1982 which was named KitCo Plastics. KitCo was a machine shop which manufactured both plastic and metal parts for various companies for 25 years. The business was sold in 2007.
After that, Phil and Marj relocated from Lindenhurst, Il to Ogilvie, Mn where Phil became the General Manager for the Tower View Mobile Home Park. Phil also worked as the maintenance manager at Cepco Management, Inc. for 18 years at several of their properties. Phil was always active, always working on projects and never wanted to fully retire.
He also played guitar and had a 1931 model A which he worked on for a while and sold.
He was a former member of the American Legion in Ogilvie and was honored as the Grand Marshall at Back to the Tower Days a few years ago. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Sr. and Florence (Garvey) Kitterman, son Phillip III, siblings, Jerome Kitterman, Patrick Kitterman, and Kaye Dougherty.
He is survived by his wife Margaret “Marj”; children, Dean (Candy), Rod (Jeanine), Connie (Jeff), Dan, Lisa (Paul) Martens, and Rich (Joanna) Hetrick; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Deborah; brother-in-law Lee Dougherty; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A GATHERING OF FAMILY & FRIENDS will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Hamilton Funeral Homes – Akkerman Chapel in Mora.
A PRAYER SERVICE will be held at 2:30 pm and followed by Military Honors by the Mora and Ogilvie American Legion.
A Private Family Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Little Falls.
