Robert “Bob” Eugene Engberg, of Stanchfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home. He was 74 years old.
Bob was born on December 14, 1950, in Braham, Minnesota to parents Harold and Betty (Leaf) Engberg. He graduated from Braham High School in 1969.
Bob was united in marriage to Debra Fredin on August 11, 1973, at the Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point. Bob spent his career as a heavy equipment mechanic and a proud member of the Local 49ers Union.
A lover of the outdoors, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheeler and side by side, and tinkering in the yard and garage. He loved trips to the family cabin in the woods north of Nashwauk. He will be deeply missed by all and always remembered for his quick wit and infectious laugh.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Kenny and Lucy Fredin; sister-in-law Gerry Engberg; brother-in-law Jim Fredin.
He is survived by his wife Debbie; daughter Tammi (Brant) Johnson and their children, Delaney and Avery; son Troy (Shauna) Engberg and their children, Kara, Kayla, and Kody; siblings, Kim Engberg, Cindy (Dan) Blatz, Jackie (Rob) Ford, and Harold “Jr” (Tina) Engberg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy (Joe) Ledford, Randy Fredin, and Danny (Kelly) Fredin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
