ROBERT MONSON

Robert Monson, of Braham, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home.  He was 91 years old.

Robert was born on September 9, 1934, in Whited Township, Kanabec County, to parents John and Christine (Hinderer) Monson.  He grew up on the family farm attending grade school in Quamba and high school in Mora.  When his father passed away in 1956, he and his brother George took over the family farm for many years. 

On September 4, 1993, he married Edna Wolf and they made their home on her farm near Hinckley until 2000 when they moved into Braham.  He was an active member of Emmanual Lutheran Church in Brook Park, and later a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham. 

He enjoyed gardening and the flowers at their home.  He loved his Savior Jesus Christ, his wife, family, and friends. He will be dearly missed. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; brother George and sister Mabel.

Robert is survived by his wife Edna; special friends Bob and Alexis Hochstatter and Lucas McMonagle; many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham.  

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. 

A time for pie and ice cream will immediately follow the service.

Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
