ROSEMARIE PIESCHER

Rosemarie "Rosie" Piescher, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Welia Health in Mora.  She was 59 years old.

Rosemarie was born on July 18, 1964 in Mora, Minnesota to parents Lawrence and Idella (Mathews) Piescher.  She attended Mora Schools, graduating from Mora High School in 1985.  She lived on the family farm near Mora where she developed her deep love of all animals, especially dogs. She loved being outside and would spend hours playing basketball in the driveway.  After her dad’s passing in 1990, she and her mom moved to an apartment in Mora.  Rosie worked at Industries Inc in Mora for 35 years before retiring in 2020.  She was able to get back to country life again at the group home near Mora where she spent her last 3 years.

Rosie loved music throughout her life and as a child always carried a transistor radio everywhere she went. She also enjoyed going dancing, bowling, and cheering on the MN Vikings.  Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday of the year because she loved turkey dinner and desserts.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rosie is survived by her brother Ron (Debbie) Piescher; nephews, Ryan (Kristine), Chad (Amy Pearson), and Matt; great nephews and niece, Zach, Calvin, Callan, and Kenzley; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes- Akkerman Chapel in Mora with Pastor Dean Oelfke officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

A luncheon will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church following the graveside service.
