Timothy Allen Speers, of Ogilvie, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his home. He was 61 years old.
Tim was born on March 15, 1961 in Milaca, Minnesota to parents James and Barbara (Richardson) Speers. He graduated from Mora High School in 1979. Tim was united in marriage to Wendy Hermanson on March 20, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Ogilvie and later moved near Lewis Lake and finally made their home north of Ogilvie. Tim worked as a custodian at the Holiday Village store in Mora for several years before taking a job at EPC in Mora. He worked as an operator and later Die Setter before retiring in 2016. Tim then began his favorite job as “Papa’s Daycare” for his most beloved granddaughter Addie.
Tim loved the outdoors especially mowing the lawn, fishing, and tending to a large garden each summer. With bird feeders on almost every tree, Tim enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, cardinals, and robins visit to eat. Tim was a good cook and loved to make Swedish Meatballs and Goulash. He also enjoyed many wood working and wood burning projects. He excelled most at “supervising” and directing his family in every task they did. In 2018, Tim and his family took a bucket list trip to Florida to see the ocean and even swam with the dolphins. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Tim is preceded in death by his mother Barbara; parents-in-law LaVonne Hermanson; brothers-in-law Wally Joos and Ricky Randall.
