WAYNE LINDQUIST

Wayne J. Lindquist, of Mora, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his home.  He was 82 years old.

Wayne was born on March 9, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents William and Lucille (Mendel) Lindquist.

Wayne was a Master Carpenter, spending most of his career working in Lutsen, MN where he and his wife Dorothy raised their three children.  Wayne was an avid fisherman, spending many hours enjoying the lakes in and around the Boundary Waters.  Wayne was a talented wood carver who created many carvings of animals, but was known for his intricate carvings of different birds.  He was a skilled card player and enjoyed playing games with family and friends.  Above all, Wayne loved spending time with his six grandchildren and the rest of his family.  He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law James Ensrude, and sister-in-law Paulette Ensrude.

He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; children, Sherry (Randolf) Kosloski, Christina (Dale) Lindgren, and John (Andrea) Lindquist; grandchildren, Monique, Spencer (Cami), Jacob (Jacqueline), Kyle, Veronica, and Bennett; great grandson Warren; brothers-in-law, Nick (Margaret) Ensrude and John Ensrude; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mora.

Memorial Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 9:30 am

A Luncheon will follow the service at the St. Mary's Parish Center.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or a Charity of Your Choice.
