William “Bill” Lyle Atkins of Milaca, formerly of Sandstone, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his home in Milaca. He was 51 years old.
Bill was born on September 1, 1974, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Elby Sr and Kathleen (Johnston) Atkins. He was the youngest of eleven siblings. Bill graduated from East Central High School in 1993.
He worked a number of different jobs over the years, but has worked for Division Stamping as a CNC Machinist since 2013.
Bill loved working on cars and going to the races at the Ogilvie raceway. An avid sports fan, Bill enjoyed watching football (Eagles), basketball (Lynx and Timberwolves), and wrestling. He will be dearly missed by his loving siblings and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Michael, Tony; sisters Benita Atkins and Sarita Augst.
He is survived by his siblings, Daniel Atkins, Vincent Atkins, Michael (Sarah) Demitroff, Elby (Jenny) Atkins Jr, David Atkins, and Michelle Shank; 23 nieces and nephews; special friend Teresa Davis and her daughter Haley; many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service was held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Sandstone Evangelical Free Church.
Memorial Visitation was held half hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 10:30 am.
Graveside Service and Burial were at Spring Park Cemetery in Sandstone following the service.
