We offer this information to ensure that the families we serve understand the cost of providing our services.  Any service that is selected will include a charge for our basic services of Funeral Director and Staff.  

The Options below are to help provide a general idea of what to expect in terms of the costs associated with funeral or cremation services.  Since we believe in personalizing every service to reach the family's need, feel free to contact us about additional services available.

These prices are effective January 1, 2024, but are subject to change without notice.



Direct Cremation (Option 1)                                                              $3,175

Immediate Cremation only. No public viewing, no assistance in placement of obituaries, planning any services, cemetery arrangements, printing options or any other assistance.

Includes: 

Services of Funeral Director and Staff- $2095

 Transfer of Deceased to the Funeral Home- $395

 Alternative Container used for Cremation (Required)- $110

Crematory Fee ($500) & Authorization ($75)- $575

Only additional cost for MN State certified death certificates dependent on the number requested    ($13 for the first copy, $6 for each additional copy)


** FEES FOR DIRECT CREMATION OPTION 1 DO NOT include embalming, visitation or memorial services; or other goods such as cremation urn, cost of death certificates, gratuity for clergy, musicians, luncheon, flowers, obituaries, folders, register book, thank you cards, cemetery charges or cemetery markers.  

This option does not allow any upgraded services except for a private viewing option.



Direct Cremation (Option 2)                                                              $3,575

Immediate Cremation only with no public viewing, professional assistance in filing of the required legal documents, assistance with placement of obituaries and public notices only.  (obituary costs itemized separately).  Funeral Home staff and equipment are not present at services or burial.

 Transfer of Deceased to the Funeral Home- $395

 Alternative Container used for Cremation (Required)- $110

Crematory Fee ($500) & Authorization ($75)- $575

No public viewing. Cremation is done prior to any services.

Not included in either estimate are additional fees for weekend services, cemetery markers, final dates, or additional transportation charges if needed.


                                          Cash Advance Items

These items are not funeral home charges but are often required expenses for funeral and cremation services. For your convenience, some of these items may be added to the funeral statement of goods and services and would be paid to third party persons for services provided through the funeral home.

MN DEATH CERTIFICATE

              $13 for the first copy, $6 for each additional copy

HONORARIUMS (suggested) 

             Minister- $150.00-$250.00

             Soloist- $50-$150.00

             Organist-$100.00-$150.00

             Luncheon- $1.00-$25.00 per person

             Custodial fee (at some facilities)- $25-$200

             Sound System fee (at some churches)- $25-$100

FACILITY FEES: some churches/facilities charge a rental fee- $100-$500

FUNERAL CELEBRANT FEE- $250.00

CEMETERY CHARGES    

           Grave Digging- $250-$1025

           Overtime Charges for weekends and holiday- $50-$950

           Purchase graves—Prices vary depending on cemetery- $100-$875

           Interment and staking fees—Prices vary depending on cemetery- $25-$300

CEMETERY MARKERS- from $1240.00 to $5500.00+

          Cement Border- $250 to $450

          Delivery & Placement of Marker- $100.00

          Staking Fee for a Marker- $20-$100

          Final Dates on existing marker- $275-450

          Final Dates on Bronze Plate- $450-600

FLOWERS—You may choose to order your own flowers at a local florist.

OBITUARY— charge for obituary notices. (Average newspaper costs $75-$800)                                          Minneapolis and St. Paul newspapers charge per printed line.                                 



                                                   Payment Policy

Our Funeral Home has established a uniform payment policy to serve all families fairly. 

For all immediate cremation, 

payment is due in full within 5 business days or prior to receiving services.


For all other services, half (1/2) of the funeral statement balance

 is due at least 1 full day prior to the scheduled services 

with the remaining balance due within 30 days from the death.

 o  A penalty of 8% will be charged on all accounts that extend beyond the 30 days allowed.

 The following are acceptable payment options:

o  Pre-arranged funeral trust through the Hamilton Funeral Homes, upon verification (eg. Bank CD or Insurance Policy)

o  Cash, personal check, cashier check or money order

o  Visa, MasterCard, American Express

o  Assignment of Life Insurance Benefits to the Funeral Home, upon verification.

o  Payment Plan (via USAlending)


COUNTY ASSISTANCE POLICY

Please inform our funeral home staff at the time the death occurs if you require county assistance. 

The funeral home staff will need confirmation from the county worker as to eligibility prior to the arrangement conference. 

This will ensure that we can help families make decisions that will correspond with the assistance being granted.

Each county establishes a policy outlining what service from the funeral home will be allowed.
